Reliable as always

This is my third time using GoHosting, this time for a new Business Web Hosting plan. They've always been consistent. My previous cPanel hosting with them was solid for years, and this new plan seems to be just as good. Support is reliable if you need them. I keep coming back because I know what to expect, and they deliver.

Good hosting for my site

I grabbed some cPanel Hosting from GoHosting a few weeks ago for my small business site. Setting it up was pretty straightforward, didn't really run into any issues. My site's been running fine since then, no downtime I've noticed. The price seemed decent too. Overall, it was a smooth experience.

Good value for domain and hosting

I was looking for a good deal to get a new website up without breaking the bank. I found a decent introductory discount for their Australian Shared Web Hosting and got a .com domain for the first year. It felt like a good value package. Setup was okay, I had to figure a couple things out myself, but for the price I paid, I can't complain much.

Excellent service and fast setup!

I just got a Linux VPS Hosting package and I'm really impressed! The setup was so quick, I got my login details almost instantly. Everything's running super fast, way better than my old host. Their support team was helpful when I had a quick question too. I'll definitely be back for more services and tell my developer friends about them!

Detailed feedback on services

I signed up for their WordPress Hosting and also transferred a .com.au domain over. The initial ordering process was quite smooth, the website was easy to navigate. I used their free website migration service which took about two days, a bit longer than I hoped but it was free and everything transferred correctly. Support was responsive when I inquired about the migration status. The WordPress site is performing well, no noticeable latency from being hosted in Australia. I also added an SSL Certificate later, which was straightforward to integrate through cPanel. Overall, a solid service but the migration speed could be improved slightly.

Just switched over to GoHosting's Business Web Hosting plan from a cheaper provider. Speeds seem a bit snappier, but the cPanel interface feels identical. Anyone else made the jump and noticed a big difference in performance for their small business site?

P PriyaK 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
Yeah, I moved my e-commerce site over about 6 months ago to their Business plan. Definitely saw an improvement in page load times, especially during peak traffic. My previous host would just crawl. The cPanel is standard, but the underlying infrastructure is what makes the difference.

Good to hear! I'm hoping to see better SEO results with the faster loading.

Did you use their free migration service? How was that process?

A Anjali90 1 month ago
Not sure it's a 'big' difference, but stability is definitely better. My site used to randomly go down for short periods with the old host, haven't had that issue with GoHosting at all. Uptime guarantee seems solid.

That's a huge plus for me. Downtime is a killer.

I'm still on their basic shared hosting, thinking about upgrading. Is the support any better on the business plans, or is it generally the same 24/7 Australian-based support they advertise?

R RohanS 1 month ago
I found it slightly more personalized on the business plan, but overall good either way.

Following this, also wondering about support differences.

From my experience, the support response time is pretty consistent across plans. Always been quick for me.

My GoHosting VPS renewal is coming up, and the price jump is a bit steep compared to the introductory rate. Has anyone had any luck finding renewal coupons or discounts, or is it pretty much full price after the first term?

R RahulK 2 weeks ago ✓ Best Answer
Renewal coupons for hosting are rare in my experience with GoHosting. I usually just pay the full price. Sometimes if you contact them before it renews and mention you're considering other options, they might offer a small discount, but it's not guaranteed.

Yeah, I figured as much. Worth a shot though, thanks!

I tried that once, they didn't budge. Might depend on how long you've been with them.

Could try contacting sales and seeing if they have any current promotions you can jump onto, even if it's not a 'renewal coupon' specifically. Sometimes they have unadvertised deals.

A Anjali90 2 weeks ago
Did that for my domain renewal once, got a small percentage off.

That's a good strategy, I'll give their sales team a call.

Worth a try, can't hurt to ask.

I've never seen specific renewal coupons for their VPS plans. The initial discount is usually just for the first billing cycle. You could try looking for general promo codes, but they often exclude renewals.

Good point about excluding renewals. I'll keep an eye out anyway.

Looking at their cPanel hosting, and there's a deal for like 50% off. Is that just for the first month, or does it apply to the whole first year if I pay annually?

S Sam 1 month ago
Usually, those kinds of discounts apply to your first invoice. So if you pay for the year upfront, you get that discount for the entire first year.

D David Y. 1 month ago
Yeah, that's what happened for me. Got a chunk off my first year's bill. Just remember it generally doesn't apply to renewals.

What's their support like? Is it 24/7 like they say, and are you actually talking to people in Australia or is it just outsourced overseas?

P Priya Bennett 2 months ago
Their support is onshore and 24/7. I've had to contact them a couple of times late at night and always got someone local who was helpful.
3
N Nina 2 months ago
Yeah, it's Australian-based support. Super helpful too. Much better than some of the other hosts I've used where you're talking to someone who barely understands the issue.

Thinking of moving my WordPress site to GoHosting. Do they actually help with the migration for free, or is it one of those 'free but with a catch' deals?

E Emma 1 month ago
They offer free migration. I used it when I moved my site over, it was pretty painless and they handled everything.

W Wendy 1 month ago
Yeah, they do. I think it's for new accounts, but they definitely take care of it. Just open a ticket after you sign up and they'll guide you through it.

Hey guys, planning to switch over my small business site. How long does it usually take to get everything up and running after I sign up? Like, account activation and stuff.

E Emma 1 month ago
Mine was pretty quick actually. I think it was less than an hour for the account to be active and ready to go.
3
T Tara 1 month ago
Yeah, same here. I signed up for a shared hosting plan last month, and it was almost instant. Maybe a few minutes for the confirmation emails and then I could log in.

Is GoHosting actually Australian owned? Like, their website says it, but sometimes these things can be a bit tricky. Just wanna make sure I'm supporting local.

P Paula 1 month ago
From what I remember reading, they are 100% Australian owned. It was one of the reasons I went with them.

B Ben 1 month ago
Yep, they definitely are. Their support is also based here, which is a big plus if you ever need help.
